Document Review Application

Document Review Application

Delivering professional sport rehabilitation services requires a solid theoretical foundation and extensive hands-on training, built through structured education over a defined period. Document review is the first step in confirming that your completed degree and coursework meet the eligibility standards for the Sport Rehabilitator certification exam.

What We Review

The Sport Rehabilitator certification exam first confirms that your major and completed coursework meet the Association's educational standards. In line with licensure and certification exams such as Physical Therapist, Athletic Trainer (AT), and NSCA-CSCS, which are based on a bachelor's degree level, Sport Rehabilitator likewise sets 40 class hours over a 4-year bachelor's program as the standard. The education categories are organized into 12 areas that reflect the guidelines of the British Association of Sport Rehabilitators (BASRaT).

Criterion 1

Application Path

Graduation from an accredited university department (2- to 4-year program) or completion of the Sport Rehabilitation Education Institute curriculum

Criterion 2

Completion by Category

At least one course completed in each of the 12 education areas (accredited department path)

Criterion 3

Recognized Class Hours

40 class hours for 4-year programs · 30 for 3-year · 24 for 2-year accredited departments

Reflecting international standards: The education areas were designed as 12 categories by reorganizing the British Association of Sport Rehabilitators (BASRaT) subject framework according to KASRaT standards.
